Soft Floor UK plays the part with ITV, Ant & Dec and Spelbound

ITV approached Soft Floor UK with a brief to develop a 7 metre diameter circular platform from EVA foam mats as part of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway performance with Spelbound, the 2010 winners of Britain’s Got Talent.

As well as being easy to store and quick to lay on set during the show, the surface had to provide a combination of fall protection and foot stability for various acrobatics activities including leaps and throws of up to 20 feet.

We selected GYM25 for the project, which is a 25mm interlocking high-density EVA foam mat with excellent fall protection and stability. The mats were water jet cut to spec without compromising the interlocking design of the mats, which aid their anti-slip nature.

We were pleased to see the performance by Ant & Dec was faultless and the mats stood up to the test extremely well!
